Knoetel shows grey. Not sure how much attention he paid to such detail, but his is my "Old Testament." GdeP

Markus Gärtner confirms the grey greatcoat with two rows of 7 buttons at the front. This information is taken from the hitherto most valuable work about the Westphalian army published together with Edmund Wagner in 1990 … but for all "fans" of the Westphalian army: there will be a major work to be published probably next year (and that will certainly contain not only a German text). I am Westphalian "fan". My first sculpted figure after childhood was Westphalian 1/72 line infantrymen. And I dream to sculpt these brave boys again in 1:100 (15(18)mm). |

desmondo The regiment is shown with grey greatcoats in Peter Street's book The Army of the Kingdom of Westphalia 1807-1813. It is available now via Amazon and it is a brilliant book and all uniform images are in colour. |
