I builded before one table for 15mm figs, where unit = base. Now I started to build table for 6mm figs, where unit = 4 bases (+markers). So table will be bigger. EMPEROR units on map.
Map contours..
..and first layers settled down. (British first line showed with nonbritish figs)
In the end all table may be covered with shapeholding canvas.

Lots of work. Worth it no doubt as only with appropriate rules and good accurate terrain can one actually refight an historical battle, with anything like a close simulation. |

Actually not so many works as with my previous table from thick cardboard.
Now I use foam sheets, mutch easily cuttable things. |

Where did you get your contours from (not the foam, the map)? |

All layers are ready and packed 120x160cm battlefield takes very small amount of space. Light, flexible, non-slip, smooth, flat, configurable, foldable, portable. Setup takes only couple of minutes. I always dreamed about this. I already ordered slim green felt to cover the table for adding visuality to functionality. |
