Heymes always steals the show. That rig is splendid, as is the Perry casting. One of their best ever. Any money says he wore nothing like that on the big day but you have made a great job of this. I had wondered about swapping sides, but do take your point about his delicate sword arm! No white/grey horse? Chicken……..you know you can do it !!(although little is more challenging, if not to look like a rocking horse. My greys are getting better, but a truly white horse………certainly my Heymes' horse I would not show on line as yet!) |

Great brush work – also smart move on the positioning |

Thanks guys, and yes in the rush I just missed the horse colour Liam! I was using the Perry website as reference which has them as brown! Nevermind :) |

The black outlines really make the figure pop! |

I was thinking about the same thing of switching the ADC's to protect dude's sword arm from damage, but it would have driven me NUTS knowing in the painting he was on the other side! What the heck.. if Uxbridge can lose a leg Heymes can lose an arm. :)
Loved how the command stand came out, and got it ready just in time for Ney to lead a unit of Cuirassier during a Waterloo refight last weekend. Vive la France! |

Very pretty!! Which brand of paint are you using for the red? Very eye-catching!! |

He actually was not red haired at all but dark brown. Le rougeaud came from his red brown complexion. Face not hair. A bit like a drunkard in the sun. But naturally. |
