So you all thought that Kirk and I have been rather quite recently some of you may have even been pleased about this and breathed a few sighs of relief, well I'm afraid we are back and with something bigger and better than what we have done before… Well if any of you are curious we have been working on a new offering for Brigade models the Kirin combat walker the model is a bit of a beast hence the name Kirin a mythical oriental creature of legend, this model is a multi pose walking weapons platform with a good armament and selection of equipment that can be mounted on five hard points positioned around the model allowing it to be configured to suit your personal gaming style or any other game scenario requirements. The Kirin combat walker will consist of a main torso, a pair of shoulder/weapon mounts and weapon housings, two legs the Kirin will be able to be posed either walking or in a standing position and of course a pair of feet, then you will have the selection of weapons and equipment to choose from mainly from the Brigade models Mercenary vehicles range and hopefully a few new accessories such as a communications/satellite dome and a search light. Below we have a exploded layout of all the weapons and equipment that can be mounted in the hard points of the Kirin, a word to the wise you can spend ages thinking up different weapon configuration for the Kirin so be warned….. We hope you like our latest offering although it is still a few months away from production and no doubt we will probably have a couple of wrinkles that will need to be ironed out but we thought you might like to see what we have been up to and what's coming down the pipe line. Zac & Kirk.

I am working on a CAD model group shot so you can get an idea of size. I will look forward to the 6mm version that will hopefully come later. |

Are the arm connectors size compatible with the ones that JBR did for Rebel and CMG? |

Are the arm connectors size compatible with the ones that JBR did for Rebel and CMG? That is a very good question |

Is the 3d model in crouched position? |

Are the arm connectors size compatible with the ones that JBR did for Rebel and CMG? They are different CAD files so i doubt that they will match up the same as the Rebel miniatures or CMG files and as we don't have access to those particular other manufacturers files in all honesty we cant really say. Is the 3d model in crouched position? The stance of the Kirin shown in the second picture is the basic standing static pose. |

JBR published the specs for hobbyists: link I don't know if data files are available though. |

I think the weapons would be close enough in size to one other and no doubt with a little bit of cutting and filing they could be made to fit each other if you really wanted to, but i think the Kirin already has ample choice of weapon and equipment configurations to choose from. :) Zac |

Its official straight from Brigade towers today the latest news and release schedule on the Kirin combat walker. :) zac As a taster of things to come (although it's not in the next few releases, it's a bit further down the line), how about this ? It's the Kirin Combat Walker, which will be part of our Mercenary Brigade force in 15mm (and hopefully 6mm as well down the line). This one was designed by Kirk Alderfer with input from Zac Braham, the pairing that designed the rest of the Mercenary vehicles. The arm mounts are designed to accept any of the weapons from the Sohei tank, while the shoulder points will take a number of items including missile pods, sensor pods, the standard Mercenary secondary gun and even a spotlight.
