The work behind the scenes is advancing very nicely. :-) Game rules of our Army game are evolving and a draft 1.a version is coming out next week!!!
We have already a list of playtesters volunteering from different countries, but we would like even more people to be involved and provide feedback! If you are interested in helping us out, please send us an email at info@shieldwolfminiatures.com Thank you. The Shieldwolf Team.

Google-fu has revealed some clues shieldwolfminiatures.com link So probable medieval fantasy , 28mm And 4 by 4 , most probably 6 by 4. Possible Kings of war Warhammer challenger? More info please . |

The photos show infantry in 5x4 formations and they're sold in regiment packs of 20, including command. Larger models like ogres and lion riders come in packs of four and trolls in packs of three. Also, they come from Greece and they ain't cheap. LT |

Hello all, and appreciate the quick comments and interaction! @MajorB @BillMcHarg It is an army game, the only ones that are similar to it are like @Feet-up-now posted, Warhammer & KoW. We will need people owning armies from the above games in order to proxy the rules, or make cardboard pieces (which is additional trouble however). Table is 6x4 feet and some terrain will be required (houses, watchtowers, swamps, rivers etc). Gaming period can vary, we would like people to give us initial feedback after 1 month of having received the rules. The people who will want to keep on playtesting and/or go ahead and re-test/challenge any changes we make based on this initial feedback, will form a Team (without obligations naturally of any type) that will receive any follow up drafts. If someone wishes we will also name/credit him in the development team for helping us out. Yes @brass1, we are based in Greece and have been in the market for a few years now, miniatures are 28mm bulky/"heroic" scale, quality has its costs but we think we are fairly priced, sales show that at least ;-) We launched a successful Kickstarter some months ago and will probably deliver even earlier than predicted. In the meanwhile Team members are already working on KS-2, where we are focusing more on plastic regiments which we didn't manage to fund in KS-1 AND making rules available, something crucial and necessary for our game to be developed :-) For any questions/comments please let us know, we appreciate all interest! Thank you. |

It is an army game, the only ones that are similar to it are like @Feet-up-now posted, Warhammer & KoW. Depends what you mean by "army". I wouldn't call a typical force used in Warhammer an "army". Table is 6x4 feet Is that minimum or maximum size? Gaming period can vary, But all your examples are Fantasy? |
Shieldwolf Miniatures | 17 Jun 2015 4:05 a.m. PST |
@MajorB I'll agree with you, by army we mean rank n' file troops and a great number of minis on the table. Our games usually field around 150+ miniatures for each side, given the troop requirements that must be met, so… :-) We have playtested 2 sizes, we use a 6x4 feet size for all of our games in order to set some standards with which the game is played. Therefore I'd say thats the "only size", unless playtesters major feedback states otherwise :-) Yes, Shieldwolf Miniatures is Fantasy ONLY. All our miniatures, terrain, busts etc are fantasy related, we have no sci-fi plans. |

Probably the 'deepest' strategy fantasy army game currently developed and to be made available in the next few months (still being playtested by over 100 playtesters worldwide). Over 100+ pages, with beautiful artwork and lots more. Best part? It is 100% free. FREE. ALWAYS.

Looks really cool but as was said above, they ain't cheap. Dang. Makes GW look somewhat tame by comparison, doesn't it? Just saying. You're looking at upwards of $10 USD U.S. dollars per mini? |
Shieldwolf Miniatures | 14 Jul 2015 6:40 a.m. PST |
Hi Baranovich! With the release of our first plastic kit we showed we can match world-class quality, but price-wise I'm sure we are certainly not worse than GW , quite the opposite! 25euros/20 multi-part miniatures? Because that's what the price tag on our Mountain Orc Miniatures show. Resin miniatures are around $10 USD per mini, yes. Very reasonable considering after December 2013 we employ only the best sculptors and casting materials available, so that's a more than fair price. You must also consider the low P&P costs + Free shipping option available via our webstore ;-) Regiments however are but a fraction of this, and if KS-2 goes well, you can easily purchase hard plastic multipart minis for something like $1 USD-$1,25 each! Sounds a lot better right? :-) All in all a Shieldwolf Army via KS-2 or our Army deals (close enough) will cost someone something like this, here are 2 examples below: Northern Alliance: 40 Shieldmaidens (hard multi-part plastic) 40 Warmaidens (hard multi-part plastic) 1 twin-headed Dragon w/rider 3 Ice Warbears w/riders 1 Great War Mammooth w/howdah + crew 3-4 characters
OR Orcs: 40 Mountain Orcs (hard multi-part plastic) 40 Valley Orcs (hard multi-part plastic) 1 Wyvern w/rider 3 Great Warboars 1 Brutgoth + crew 5-6 Characters amount around 200-250$, meaning over 100 highest quality minis for around 2,5$ per mini. PLUS, the enhanced PDF rulebook with Shieldwolf support. Free. Forever. KS-2 is due end of this year, you might want to check it out ;-) |

OK, stage-1 terminates around mid September, looking forward to stage-2 with the changes proposed by the playtesters (still waiting for some to send us their feedback). Some awesome stuff and ideas here, thanks to the community's enthusiasm! |

I have their multipart plastic orcs and a couple resin orc commanders, and they really are top notch designs and sculpting. |
