There seems to be a real trick to getting the best out of these figures. Are there any painting tips for doing this on line? I am thinking about getting some because I like the look of them when they are well painted but I just dont know how to approach painting them. |

Same as you would any other figures. Don't expect though to shade or highlight – they just don't have the definition for that to work. Simple block painting is I think the best approach, and it captures that somewhat "toy soldier" feel. I have a personal aversion to the black outlining technique employed by some – I just think it makes them look even more cartoony than they already are. Lots of painted examples here: link |

Thanks for that. i am just going to have to get a few and have a go. I want them for Syw as I am just trying to talk myself into getting rid of my 15mm as they just seem to get harder to paint the older I get. I also like the character in the Spencer Smith and RSM minis when in 20+ figure units. |

@Ned Keep in touch with Joe at Peasemoldia as he is not very far in front of you. |

Thanks Henry that's very useful and they look great, I think I will try the Black under coat approach . I just have to order some now, but I have to clear my RSMs from the painting table first |

I have a hundred or so, I love them. Gloss gloss gloss and go with old school rules ala featherstone or such. The plastic ones are just about impossible to get but the service from SSM is fantastic! |
