How would one go about statting up a Tyrannosaurus Rex using Chain Reaction 3.0 for a litte cowboy-chomping scenario?

Thank you for any and all suggestions!

I am not familiar with the rules but I don't think you should make it too quick on the draw.

Is that my hat and coat? Thank you.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Great, now there is tea all over my keyboard!

I don't have the rules handy, but for starters…
Rep 4 or 5
Depending on how many cowboys and how long of a game you want:
Ignore the first OOF result, or 1st and 2nd, or 1-3
Causes fear (don't remember if that was in CR or not)
Maybe it get's a -1d6 to it's in-sight rolls (they've got beady eyes, you know).

Depending on how aggressive you want it to be:
It's reaction for passing 1 or 2 dice should be to charge.
Passing 0 would be duck back. Or roll again (1-3 charge) (4-6 duck back).

I'd follow Warrior Heroes.

Give it a high Rep and AC,double human movement with
terror and Vicious attributes.

Afraid I've not played Chain Reaction so I'm unsure if the attributes are used there.

Ask over on the Two Hour Forum, somebody in the know will have done this before.

Good luck and watch out for that tail.

edit Sorry was a bit late posting and Stryderg sounds better informed.

Lucky for you the Lost Lands supplement for Chain Reaction already has everything you're looking for!

Thank you, Strydberg. I will try that out.

SBminisguy, if the basics of this little scenario work out well, Lost Lands is on my "to buy" list.

In Lost Lands, T-Rex is a little nastier than what Strydberg suggests grin

Stryderg15 Jun 2015 4:21 p.m. PST

Glad to help.

Totaly forgot I have Lost Lands. Well worth the price. Somebody out there ran a convention game with the players as a wolf pack. Objectives included 'finding' a meal, taking out the alpha wolf, finding a den for the night, protecting cubs, etc. Not in the book, but easily tweaked.

If you want a little more RPG flavor and a larger campaign area, you could also check out, Mission St Mary also by Two Hour Wargames. It also has dinos, wild animals and a lot of NPCs to mix it up with. Just change the NPCs to western NPCs and you're good to go.

And there's also Motor City BC, which lets you mix up cars and dinos and has vehicle rules and stats from the Victorian era through today. It's currently OOP pending a revision for release.
