The reviews were warm enough, the Jurassic nostalgia was kicking in, and it was a nice June weekend to see a movie. Then it went and broke a global box office record, bringing in $511.8 USD worldwide. Not bad for a flick from a director with only one other feature film under his belt (2012's Safety Not Guaranteed)—an indie to boot. Typo in the article… $524.1 USD Million now…astounding…I guess my big question is why? Why did anybody go see a retread of a retread of a retread with dinos once again attacking people on that same little island?? "Jurassic World" rampaged through box office records this weekend.
