Hi Guys I picked up a box of Prussian Landwehr (Warlord figures) at the weekend. Can anyone help with a basic painting guide for these figures using Foundry paints (for whatever they would have been wearing at Waterloo). I already have quite a lot of Foundry paints, like the three shade system, and want to stick with it. Kind regards to all Vulture |

I would paint them as Silesians so dark blue with yellow facings. The dark blue could be the Foundry Deep Blue (20) but I would prefer the Prussian Blue (66) if you have it. The Foundry yellow (2) is fine for the facings. The yellow should be on the hat, the collar, and cuffs as shown here:
The shoulder straps are done by seniority. I'd have to go look at the order, but that should get you a long way. |

The shoulder straps are done by seniority. I'd have to go look at the order White/Red/Light Blue/Yellow. In the Landwehr, often the seniority of the battalion within the regiment, rather than regimental seniority. |

Hard to go wrong with Silesian Landwehr. There were lots of them, they were raised early in 1813, and the yellow adds a pleasing splash of colour. |
