A good review, but I would like to emphasize that although the apprentice doesn't gain experience, the wizard does. What does that mean in the long run? Over time a powerful wizard can lower the casting number of a known spell by one to a minimum of three. An apprentice uses the same casting number, but with a minus 2 penalty to cast the spell.

Thanks !

Indeed tha Apprentice dosenīt get experience for him self, but as all his stats are connected with the Wizard he also benefits from them, for example if the Wizard rais his Fight value by one so does the Apprentice. The same for Spells, all spells have a casting numnber that you need to roll the same or more to cas the spell. You can by using experience lower the castin number on you favourite spell, the minimum casting number for any spell are 5.
The improvement of your Wizard in running a campagn are one of the fun things with Frostgrave.

Best regards Michael
