I used to use the thin round metal bases from The Game Crafters. Really like them as opposed to fender washers. Anyone make thin metal round bases? I believe the Game Crafters stopped making them. |

Anyone make thin metal round bases? The Royal Mint in the UK makes excellent thin round metal bases! |

I have never found another source. Finally just went with fender washers – readily available in the hardware store one block from my house, cheap, and magnetic. |

Fender washers for me too. Could not find anything thinner, as I wished to. |

Here in Oz there seem to be two styles of 3/4 inch diameter mudguard (US: fender) washers, one of which is slightly thinner than the other. The thinner variety also tapers off toward the edge on one side such that there's no visible edge when viewed on the tabletop. Perhaps the same applies in the US. In the larger sizes I've only seen the standard constant thickness type with an obvious edge. |

I've ordered from Products for Wargamers: link Once Game Crafters closed, I was also looking for a new source and they seem to do the trick. |

I haven't found a washer yet that is cheaper than a 1p or a 2p piece. Those Product for Wargamers ones work out at 5p each. I would need a very good reason to use them over the cheaper (magnetic) coins. |

US coins aren't magnetic but are made of non-precious metals! |

Pennies for my troops and Washers for my larger bipeds. I'm with Dagwood on his logic. IMHO I'd rather spend the money on more miniatures. Now if I can find some really thin hexagon bases… |
