the title says it all: which should I chose for ease of assembly and quality of model?

The Dixon Stagecoach is a very nice model, it comes with a full team of horses, crew and character passengers, all modelled from the movie "Stagecoach". It goes together very well with only a small amount of filler required. It is a little fiddly but not too bad. It is fairly robust but I would recommend mounting it on a solid base.
Cant say anything about the 4ground one except its probably cheaper

The Dixon model is very nice, but very fragile. Although that may be my fault, but I have trouble with it breaking way too easily.

I haven't seen the 4geound model, but I do like their buildings

I have the Warbases kit. Looks pretty straightforward.

I have one of the Dixon kits. It is all metal. I could see where the kit would be fragile if it was super glued together. You might try JB Weld epoxy to "glue" the kit together. That'll do it.

A friend has the 4ground version, and said it was very fiddly to assemble. It's also huge (probably 20-25% oversized) so that models will fit inside.

I found the Dixon's coach a bit too fragile and mine ended up sans horses and passengers as a piece of scenery. For one that moves I used the Old Glory model which I found much more robust.

I have sold a number of the 4 ground sets and have not had any complaints.
