I need to paint a windshield on a resin pickup. I've been looking at a lot of windshields. They are not black, but usually look dark with a hint of green in the darker parts, like polarized sunglasses. At some angles, you see clouds and sky reflected, and at other angles you get blinding white glare. I am a very average painter, and I have no clue how to pull this off. Any suggestions? |

Simplest way is just a black ink wash, to suggest a darkened interior. Some people paint them silver, so suggest reflective glass. |

The basics are to paint with the highlights "up-side-down". Dark blue or Gray is the typical base color.

Look at them on the street. I'd go with a nice, gloss coat, over a dark gray paint base for most. Add other highlights, colors, if desired. |

I use a pale blue base colour with lightly brushed white streaks to suggest light reflection, then gloss varnish. Best advice is to try a few different styles and settle on one you like. |
