Looking for a Paladin. I am looking for one that is 28 -30mm. NOT the giant heroic type with oversized weapons. Show me your favorite please |

Do you have a Race (Human, Elf, Dwarf, something weirder), Gender and/or weapon preference? I went to the Reaper store and searched the Figure Finder for "Paladin" and got 420 products. Edit: I need to remember to refresh the page 'before' posting. |

Wargames Foundry's Flyte of Fantasy eBay store has some 28mm figures that would work. Smaller, realistic weapons, a little more mundane than fantastic. |

So I Am looking for a male human paladin. I like a lot of Reapers stuff but the sizing seems to inconsistent. Never know if its 28mm or 40mm? Does any one have the ones that are linked so I can gauge the size? |

Are Paladins only supposed to use blunt weapons? These guys have lots of blades? Or am I in left field? |

We have two paladins in our PF group. The entire campaign is Egyptian-themed, so they are as well – one wielding a compound bow, the other a khopesh & shield. Since we all know the figures are representative, we actually use two GW Dark Elf plastics for them, one with a repeating crossbow, the other with a sword & shield. I'd love to find something more thematic for them though. |

Hasslefree has several suitable figures, female as well as male. I went with this guy from Heresy Miniatures, it is a Steve Buddle sculpt. It is a great looking figure, not too large and a very clean figure making it easy to paint: link Best of luck with whatever you end up with. Dan |

Most of Reapers seem closer to 30/32mm. I would probably go for Ral Partha or Mirliton or look at historical ranges such as Front Rank, Foundry, Perry, etc link link Mardaddy, for an Egyptian paladin, check out Crocodile Games, Dark Fable, or Reaper. link link link Black Tree link |

Mirliton has some good stuff but shipping to US is expensive. |

Many of the Reaper figure photos have triangles on the right side of the photo. The triangles are at .5" & 1". The plan was to add the triangles to all of the photos, but don't know how far along they are on that. |

Augustus, +5 Holy Avenger. Enough said. :-) And it used to be Clerics only used blunted weapons. That has changed over the editions and a bit of common sense.

These are the only ones I used to own, but no longer do. These are the same model, just different materials, he is very large, like a slender half-ogre in size. 77148: Mangu Timur ($2.99) 03260: Mangu Timur ($10.99) This is the original sculpt and is much closer to reasonably sized. 02483: Mangu Timur ($5.49) |

Its been decades since I've played D+D so forgive me if this question is related to some sort of rule restriction. My advice is consider how you envision your character. A paladin is a warrior fighting for faith. He/she can look anyway you like. Not all have to be plate clad and heroic looking. |
Crazyivanov | 17 Jun 2015 6:14 a.m. PST |
Yes but, an adventurer is generally going to be better armed and armoured than the average street tough, unless you're Regdar, and Paladins aren't just Lawful Good warriors of God( or Goddess). They are the example to be set, the knights exemplar, the definition of chivalry in action. A paladin ought be heroic looking in whatever he or she wears, and often that's going to be the best heavy armour available as, unless your an elf, dexterity isn't that big of a deal to a paladin. Besides plate armour looks really nice all shiny, and has lots of places to have holy symbols gilded or etched on. |
