Is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo on June 18th motivating you to do anything out of the ordinary this year?

(a) Yes. If so, please share: watch a movie or read a book about the war or this battle, play a miniature wargame related to the campaign, tour battlefields, etc.

(b) No.

(c) Unsure. No plans yet.

A) I am finally varnishing and basing my collection of Del Prado pre-painted 25/28mm Napoleonic figures. They were originally sold with a part-work magazine, and I have added to the collection over the years.

I am doing a lecture (with figures) on the battle of waterloo … 1705!

The one that didn't happen..

I am also part of a team that will be delivering lectures on ??15, which will cover Agincourt, Magna Carta, Waterloo, and a few other historic events…

- I walked the battlefields some years ago, but would love to go back…

Nothing special.

We put on Ligny and Waterloo at Enfilade convention already, approx 6200 28mm figures in each. The Prussians won Ligny and the French won Waterloo!

a … just gave a talk on Waterloo at the local museum. It went very well. And I'm hoping to refurbish some of the old soldiers soon …

Naseby 370, Magna Carta 800, Agincourt 600, Waterloo 200 – it's proving a busy year for the wargaming historian and historical wargamer.

Nope. For many years I believed my wedding anniversary was on June 18th instead of June 16th which would, of course, always stand me in well with my wife. So, anniversary Tuesday, Waterloo Thursday, anniversary Tuesday, Waterloo Thursday.

I just played a Waterloo game at ORIGINS last week. As a French player, we rolled over the British by 2pm…..

I won the prize for most feared French Commander grin

Yes, I've already done Quatre Bras (twice!) link & link and I am just tidying up a loose end or two before I do my tribute to Ligny. I don't have Prussian figures unfortunately – I'm waiting until Baccus gets round to resculpting its range – so I'll reset it to the Peninsular War with the spanish taking the role of the Prussians. And then Waterloo sometime in the next fortnight.

(a) Just painting a Warlord Landwher command I have had for a year. Technically 1813, but it will do. I might decide to do a lecture in the university and show Waterloo.
