Folks,

I wanted to bring up a lodging alternative for the upcoming Historicon in Fredericksburg next month. "The Kenmore Inn ( kenmoreinn.com/)
would like to welcome attendees of Historicon 2015 and hope that they would consider staying there while in town for the convention. The Kenmore Inn has 9 rooms with either a king or queen sized bed. realize this is a functioning B&B, thus there are is only a single bed in the room. The Inn is located at 1200 Princess Anne Street, approx 3.5 miles from the Fredericksburg Expo Center in the historic heart of downtown Fredericksburg. During the Historicon, the rooms are available for $108 USD per night and include a plated breakfast. The Kenmore Inn has fine dining in the restaurant located in the cellar with a pub serving craft beer, fine wine and as well as high-end spirits. There is usually live music on Thursday nights.

To reserve your room, please call (540) 371-7622 and mention group code of HIS15."

In the interest of full disclosure, my #1 Son in the bar manager there, in fact if you go the bar in the evening during the 'Con, he'll be the one cheerfully serving you. Much of the staff are friends and acquaintances and I do not get anything for bringing this up other than the satisfaction of helping friends in a local business and fellow gamers during the upcoming 'Con.

Anyway, please consider this if you want more from your stay in Fredericksburg!

Sounds like a very nice place. I can't come this year but maybe I'll consider it for next year. Is there any chance of a rollaway bed for a room so that the guys don't have to sleep together in one bed?

On a slightly different topic, I was able to get a hotel, but stupidly let life get in the way of things and missed the pre-registration date.

Am I going to get turned away at the door, you think?

I've only been once before, I can't imagine it sells out, right?

Shaney,
No worries about being turned away. You can definitely register on site.
