I think cavalry in cloaks look terrific and make it so much easier to build up a unit, if feeling lazy. In 28mm Perrys have also now produced those Retreat figures with separate heads which greatly increase versatility…… The use of the dragoons heads was inspired and far better than modifying the carabiniers thinner heads. A "why didn't I think etc" moment. The photgraphy of theri construction is worth seeing, plus, I did wonder where had I seen these chaps in their cloaks? Of course! |

I have a unit of Italian Carabiniers (1/72) that I convert from Russian Cossacks (WW2) and heads of … Carabiniers. They look good!. A good job to modify them (the riders has WW2 machine guns in their chests!) Amicalement Armand |

Very nice. Zastrow's Cuirassiers and the Saxon Garde du Corps and my favorite cavalry formation. |

That picture from "Uniforms…" is somehow one of my uniform favourites. Such a simple rig on both! |

Agreed DH – I love my head swap guys and they are not really even true conversions, but they are unique. Love these, and love the Blandford inspiration |
