Those look aces! I need to do something similar to my Khemri WM army. |

@nazrat The weakest part of the whole Warmaster package was the bases themselves. Strong in the horizontal plane only, prone to vertical stresses especially after glueing and applying scenic material. My solution is below. link |

Weird, I never had any problems with the bases, and mine all seem just fine 15 years on. What kind of glue and scenic stuff did you put on the bases originally? |

@Ivan This is going back 15 years as my playing group were into Warmaster from day one. Some of my figures were glued to their bases using a contact adhesive, probably UHU or Bostik. Some of the bases were textured with Milliput which is a two part resin based putty. Lots of them curled up over time so I decided to resolve that by largely replacing them with thicker plastic. I know that some of my friends bases also curled and I would be surprised if he used the same glues and putties as I did. I think he mostly used PVA and sand for texture. I'll add a little post to my blog showing some of the curled bases. |

Bummer. I glued mine with either superglue or PVA/white glue, and textured with spackle/tetrion or more white glue, no problems to date, knock on wood. I put sheet magnets on them and pretty much always stored them in metal shelves, I wonder if that helped. Did you ever make it to any of the Campaign Days or Tournaments at GW HQ? I have the dubious distinction of being the first player to lose a game at the first Campaign day. (I put my general out too far, he was contacted and forced to join the nearest unit, which in turn got munched…) |

@Ivan Nowadays I make most of my bases for all scales magnetic and I keep them on steel paper until all the glues, textures, paints and varnishes are dry so that any warping is minimised. I've never played any GW games outside my immediate playing group, I'm quite fussy who I play with. Having said that we did manage a large multi-player (12 or so) Warmaster campaign for a good while. |

Here's how I fixed the warping problem. link |
