Can anyone tell me how the Foundry WWII line and the Warlord/Bolt Action figures compare/would look together in the same unit or on the same table? For example, would Foundry Germans look odd if up against Bolt Action French?

The Foundry figures are very nice but would be a bit small compared with newer produced figures. I'd go with Black Tree Design germans.

I have some of the Foundry figures, sculpted, I believe, by the Perrys. They are "20mm" figures and fit well with AB. I think Warlord are "28mm" or 1/56 scale, so totally wrong to use with the Foundry figures.

Hi,

Whilst it is true that we produce 20mm WWII figures we also do a range of 28mm figures.

In terms of size, those figures from our German 2nd World War 28mm range that are standing upright are between 25mm and 27mm tall from sole of shoe to eye-level (there being some variation in 1:1 scale human size too).

Martin

@Wargames Foundry.
My apologies Martin, was not aware of your other WW2 range.
If they are nice as the 20mm, then well worth buying.

@Martin,

Are they roughly the same size and heft as your ACW line?

No worries – the 28s are Perry sculpted too, so very nice (IMO).

Grabbing a pack off the racks I'd say that the rank and file packs in kepi and sack coats are a bit slimmer and a little shorter than the German World War 2 packs.

Martin

Thank you. I really like your Dad's Army range, so I'm thinking about loading up on some WWII while I can still get the army deal.

Have both manufactures, they fit no problem, love the Foundry WW2 range, something classical almost Airfix plastics to them :) just can't afford them anymore :(
Cheers happy gaming
