Can't seem to find one of these, produced by anyone, but perhaps I'm not up to speed on all the manufacturers.

Does anyone produce the BMD-1, or BMD-2, in metal, in 1/144th scale?

Mako11:
Minifigs makes both the BMP-1 and the BMP-2 in a range they describe as 10-12mm which is as close to 1/144 as you're likely to find in metal.
If you don't mind resin and high prices then there is a Japanese producer at:

Thanks, Rod.

Resin, I can live with, but not at their crazy prices.

Sadly, it appears Minifigs don't make the BMD currently, but I guess I can hope they eventually change that situation.

BMPs and BTR-80s will work, but those little BMDs are a must for the Para units which seem to be involved in a lot of the action.

I must really pay closer attention when I 'read' from my I-pad. The text is so small that I thought you wrote BMP and not BMD. Time to get glasses I guess.
Sorry for wasting your time.

I don't think Minifigs ever made the BMD. The 12mm modern range was very much Neil's baby when he was running it, so its unlikely to get expanded.

You could use our 15mm versions and pretend they are much closer?

Panzer Depot just added some moderns including a BMP 2. The price is still high, but it's painted fairly well.

Maybe they will do a BMD if you ask them?

I'm not so sure, and live in hope on the Minifigs front.

Perhaps I missed it previously, but don't think so. I did find a (new?) FV-438 Swingfire on their website, where before I'd only seen the Striker listed, so maybe they are adding a few items to their range.

Good one, Geoff! If going that route, which I may eventually too, as funds permit, I think I'll just pit them against some other 15mm vehicles.

Thanks for the suggestion, TG, but not sure I can justify those prices for the PD minis. Better to get a section, or platoon of the larger 15mm ones, for the same price.
