At least I think he is. It came with a bunch of similar looking Hinchliffe figures. But it does not have the "H" logo stamped on the bottom. It has a 2951, a M, and c 1977 cast into the underside of the base. Short jacket, a weird plumed shako with upturned brims and maybe a rifle. I have a few I would like to get more. |

From memory, the Hinchliffe jager figure was kneeling firing and using a musket. |

Does it look like this one?
Heritage had the Hinchliffe line in the 70's, in the USA. S.M. is right about the Hinchliffe Tyrolean Jager figure:
Just a thought. Hard to tell without a picture, John. |

British Marine? Run up twenty guesses then post a picture – we can run a sweep! |

Brunswick Avante Garde? of 1815 era or maybe their Sharpshooter co from 1809. But I think the upturned brim on wrong side. Austrian Landwehr? |

I'm thinking it might be from the period when Heritage cast Hinchliffe in the States. But it does not have a Hinchliffe type catalog number nor a Hinchliffe logo. It looks like a Peter Hilder sculpt. |

That's Peter Gilder of course. |

The Hinchliffe Tyrolean jaeger I owned looked a little different (the head was slightly higher and the musket had a bayonet); mine were all purchased in the UK, though. From memory, I think there was a Marine in the British Peninsula range, but he was "advancing". Have you looked here, Winston? hinchliffe.co.uk/list.htm |
