Hi all, The Foundry 25mm FPW Wurtumburgers only have two poses for basic grunts. Advancing and standing firing. Very limited and don't even really work in the same unit in my opinion. Just wondering if anyone has ID'd other options to convert and supplement. I have been looking at battle honours 25mm 1859 Austrians and they look pretty close except they have pants instead of boots, no cartridge box and no wings. Carve away the pants bottoms and paint on the boots. A little green stuff for the wings and belly pouch and looks like can do. Likewise the Battle Honours WWI Austrians look like they could be worked with. I see irregular has a range and they look nice but cant deal with marching for this era. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Michael |

Michael, You might want to consider Eureka Miniatures. They have a very limited, but nonetheless nice-looking collection of 1864 Danes. These have the forage cap similar to the Wurtemburgers. See link You'll notice they also have a few 1864 Austrians. Good luck with the project. Don |

-I found repositioning the heads left and right on the advancing figure gives more variety, also take the drum off the drummer and give him a rifle. Maybe Steve Barber will release something soon? The Jaeger might do- I'm sure they might have used blanket rolls at some point and it hides the single breasted tunic stevebarbermodels.com |

Hi Don. Thanks for your suggestion. The backpack configuration would not work for me and I wonder about their foundry compatibility. I had some of the 1866 austrians from them at one pint and I remember them as relatively hugee. Marshewba you may be on to something with the jaegers especially if the shako was cut down a bit…or maybe even better if I did with WW1 jaegers so no blanket roll. Have you seen the Steve Barber figs yet? Are they compatible with Foundry? |

Hi Marshewba….Foundry WW1 Jaegers look like a near perfect fit and will match for size too! I dont even see needing to cut down the shakos. link Mikw |

Good idea although the WW1 stuff is much smaller than the FPW stuff. |
