Never heard of, but looking interesting.

Did you try posting to his blog? He's 'chuffed', and would probably delight in the attention.

Edit: Well, chuffed half a year ago…

Chuffed?

Urban dictionary: To be very pleased, proud or happy with yourself

Though, it IS Brit urban. The author's blog announcement of the rules, also easy-to-Google.

Yes, our group plays the rules once in awhile. They are an update and reprint of Peter Filder's Sudan Rules as used in the old Wargame Holiday Center.

Hi FG,

Apologies for missing this as I have been madly getting ready for our clubs Waterloo gash this weekend.

What questions do you have ? You can contact me here or via the blog – whatever suits.

Cheers

OK -

Page 26 under "Replenish Ammunition" a single camel/mule carries 120 rounds of small arms ammo. Is this enough for 12 more shots (12 boxes) for the company?
How does this work?

On page 31 in the example of the Cameron Highlanders fighting the Mahdists, it gives the melee factor of the Mahdists 'as "2". Vs foot shouldn't it be "4"as shown on the table?

Thank You!

Hi FG,

The 120 rounds is enough to replenish 120 boxes of infantry fire on the Roster sheet. Therefore one mule would have suffecient ammo for 5 companies of troops if all were completely depleted.

Page 31 …mmm… how did that get through?

Good spotting that man. It should read "4" not "2" and the next print run will include that. Please send me your name if you like via PM as that deserves a Brevet Lieutenants mention in the new reprint at the very least!!

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing the rules.

Always greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Carlo
