Which would you say is the better game system for Victorian era skirmish gaming ?

Mute Bystander09 Jun 2015 3:48 a.m. PST

Have only played IHMN. Good Game but not perfect.

I really like both.
I have a slight preference for IHMN , as EOD has a bit too much undead, majic, vampire stuff.
It is not that I am against that, just in small doses.

Again ,I like both.

I will be just slightly different from Clif.

I like them both.
I have a slight preference for EOD, as it has way more undead, magic, and vampire stuff.

I guess it is a personal preference of what Victorian is to you----I myself am more Penny Dreadful---and to some people that is just not Victorian.

Again, I like them both.

Of course, In Her Majesty's Name has optional rules to add more Gothic Horror elements, like werewolves, vampires, etc.

I've not played EotD. I have some of their minis, and like them. I am signed up for a game of it at Historicon. I'll have more opinion afterwards.

But I really like IHMN. I even dedicated an entire issue of my VSF e-zine (The Aethergraph) to it.

Both. And Gaslight.

What in peoples opinion have the better gaming system I've been told IHMN is a little 'dry' and does not give a rich variety to character/troop generation, am I wrong? Any AAR or reviews to the two systems.
Cheers I myself like Gaslight and Pulp Alley for my Victorian gaming but a more skirmish oriented game would be nice.
