Didn't really think he would go through with it. What is it with this show and any really good and kind person in it. |

Revenge of the Onion Knight …. here's hoping |

I found it interesting that the roles have reversed between him and Mrs. Stannis. Wasn't she wanting the girl sacrificed when we first introduced to her for heresy? |

Damn the writers. Two children horribly abused was simply not a good way to go. |

No! John… NO! ANY kingdom justifies such Kind of sacrifice…ANY!! (that was the title that would ponder in my new thread on GOT but again, you've won me handheld!)(smile) What a twist!. And I was a great supporter of Stannis… But now…for whom he is going to fight a Kingdom?. For the ten or maybe 15 years he still live?. Good tension time with the opening (or not) of the door in the wall of ice! And the combat at the "Plaza de Toros"… so good! . Do you enjoyed it John?. Tell me if in some moment you don't think that Khaleesy of any other of his entourage could feld down! (smile) Major appearance of the Dragon!!. Good fight too!. But … Drogo was not going his way to meet with John Snow?… I enjoyed the show A LOT!. Did you? Amicalement Armand |

Ah yes, those horrible feels. My guess is that with the Red Wedding having such an impact, the writers are under pressure to repeat this, faster, bigger, nastier … Not that the history books aren't dripping with the blood and guts of the innocent. Kids who got in the way of power struggles are much too common. The big difference is emotional blackmail, we get this photogenic cute kid with a bad case of a "Hollywood ugly disfiguring disease" appealing to our sympathy while building up to a lurid crescendo. |

Anyone who did not think he would do this is simply not paying attention. > My guess is that with the Red Wedding having such an impact, the writers are under pressure to repeat this, faster, bigger, nastier … No, just staying true to itself. |

Can you say Agamenon. Not going to end well. |
Winston Smith | 08 Jun 2015 8:22 a.m. PST |
There is a reason Brienne is in Winterfell. I am thinking this may be one of them. Don't blame HBO for this one. I just read an interview with B & W that was George's idea. Why am I not surprised? It's getting to be fun watching them throw each other under the bus to blame the other for the offensive scenes. I have had this foolish thought for weeks that Stannis would rescue Shireen from Mel. Scratch that idea. |

Can Ramsey and Stannis kill each other? Can Arya waste that pedophile Meryn Trant before the season ends? |

I'm notoriously cold-hearted and even I found Stannis' "Honey, I baked the kid" scene to be appalling. And here I was hoping that the big "episode 9 surprise" would be Brienne carving up Ramsey with "Oathkeeper" or "Reek" turning back into Theon and doing something similar to him. Well, I suppose we can all hope that Ser Davos will come back and dispatch Stannis in suitably horrific Game of Thrones style, or Stannis' long suffering army will mutiny and burn HIM at the stake. |
Winston Smith | 08 Jun 2015 12:13 p.m. PST |
The look that Stannis's men were exchanging was not "I'm ok with that." They were far from gruntled. |

That's true. They didn't seem too happy with the spectacle. I would not be a bit surprised if some version of my "mutiny" scenario gets played out. But who knows…. |

Where's Theon's sister? Might she make an 11th hour appearance? Stannis' siege gear is gone. So he can't take the castle by force. So he is going to have to do it on the sneak. Does Sensa sneak out through the crypt and make contact with Brienne or Stannis? Does Davos come back with Jon and Wildings to follow Jon through the crypt? Reek will die. Ramsey will murder his step-mother. Brienne will finally succeed as a body guard, by killing Ramsey who was about to kill Sensa. Bron and the beautiful Dornish sister elope to Vegas. |

Oh I do believe that Stannis is going to get his. Along with his murderous Red Witch. |

From the trailer it looks as though the sacrifice 'worked' though as the storm breaks and they get a sunny day, and apparently begin to lay siege to Winterfell… |
