They're here! Well Almost… I have put the Earth Force Widowmaker Class Battlesuits up on the site. I have all the parts in except the backpacks(which will be here on Wed) so orders will be shipping on Thursday! You can order now, but they will ship on Thursday.Below are the painted pics, size comparison to 28mm and a Parts pic. These might look familiar to some :)

OMG I want these. Does any one stock these in the UK? What's the postage like from the US?

Something else to save up for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I thought they cost to much before :(

Any plans to make these in 15mm?

kallman07 Jun 2015 6:13 p.m. PST

Nice! Real nice! Damn I was not trying to do Science Fiction in both 15 mm and 28mm but I may have to relent seeing these. Of course then I have to buy enough other forces to flesh out a large enough game to be interesting. Thanks a lot Rebel Minis. grin

Do these have the various arm weapons? I seem to remember a cannon, maybe a rotary gun, some others?

15mm and 28mm Fanatik07 Jun 2015 9:19 p.m. PST

They were the old Mongoose Publishing SST Grizzly Exosuits. Glad to see them finally reappear.

tnjrp07 Jun 2015 10:13 p.m. PST

In a way, they've been back for quite a while. The same frame is used with rather minor embellishments for Mongoose/Warlord's Judge Dredd game to create the heavy holocaust suit.

Still, the less setting specific versions are always good. Unfortunately they a tad too pricey to import from USA. Luckily I don't have a pressing need for "superheavy infantry" since I have a full squad of Antenociti's saldy now discontinued battlesuits waiting on the assembly line.

Found a parts breakdown pic for the original Grizzly suits:

RM will no doubt inform if it's still the same or not.

@kallman Just use them as 15mm mecha.

byram108 Jun 2015 3:08 p.m. PST

Ordered my two packs, woo hoo! Can't wait!

It is the same except no Flamer. For some reason when we bought the line, the mold was not there. We may try and master one later.

Thanks!

I always wanted these suits. I was said when they disappeared. I am glad you guys picked them up.

Got my order the other day. The usual stellar service by Rebel Minis. The minis are a nice cast, simple assembly. The left arm socket is fairly shallow so will likely require pinning, with the male end on the arm itself needing to be trimmed. Some minor flash to be removed. The details on the barrels on one gun is not very well cast, but a minor problem. Nothing a pin vice can't fix. All in all, a very nice miniature. I'd rate it an 8 out of 10. A 9 being a flawless cast and 10 being excellently prepainted. 😁
I'd like to add that these minis would indeed work well in 15mm and being generic, any guns added should work fine, as long as it matches the aesthetics of the model…

Thanks Edgar. We are working on some new weapon designs to give them some better options!

and I thought they cost to much before :(

$35 USD for 3, so $11.67 USD each for a model that's ~75mm tall, about 75mm wide, and presumably solid metal?

Inflation sucks, but I can't call a model that large "overpriced" at $12. USD

Brother Jim10 Jul 2015 12:33 p.m. PST

Didn't Mongoose sell them at $30 USD for 3 models?
Back in 2005 or 2006.

The Grizzlies / Widowmakers that is.

Lion in the Stars10 Jul 2015 6:55 p.m. PST

Yeah, and that's before the price of metal quadrupled.

Yes, they are solid 100% pewter :)
We didn't cheap out!
