That's really cool. Maybe someday one of my units will perform similar feats!

John,
Great game and write up.

I see you moved, my daughter is now at Fort Bliss in El Paso Texas. I'll have to see how far away you are from there.

John,

I am about 5 hours down I-10 from Ft Bliss. Bliss was my home fort when I was in the Army (1966-1989). Bliss was also where the 45 Line was painted and assembled into a battalion.

God bless,
John T.

John,
We are not going down this year to Fort Bliss to visit her as she will be up by us 3 times in the next few months because she's in the bridal party's of some of her friends weddings.
We will be going down next year though but unsure if she will still be at Ft Bliss.

Yeah, John. That's Army life.

But one of the good things about being in the Army. I could easily find buddies who liked to push around my little lead soldiers.

God bless,
John T.

My own 2 battalions of the 45th are Connoisseur figures, each 36 figures that I put together in the late 80's.

This anecdote was a fun read. My regiment has had some sterling exploits also.

John. Whenever I see your figures, they bring a tear to my eye, because they are so beautiful, and they remind me of my Fire and Steel days. You did a terrific job with the AAR. You showed us the exploits of the 45th, in every turn. I would love to see another AAR, where we see the French vs. your Austrian/Russians. And yes VonBlucher, I am still collecting Minifigs 2nd gen. I am concentrating on the Bavarians now.

Thanks to all for your comments. I do appreciate them very much,

Reggie, in July or August, I have plans for a Corps size battle between my French and my Austrians & Russians. I enjoy taking lots of photos of my battles so that I can watch them again on my computer. This "Battle of Cruzamento" had over 380 photos. That allows me to pick out a unit and follow its "exploits." I find trying to tell the story of a whole battle and bit boggling to follow. Also, by going back over the battle through the pics, I find interesting aspects I didn't note while actually playing the game. If I find an interesting unit or brigade to follow in my upcoming French vs Austrians/Russians fight, I'll be happy to post another AAR.

God bless,
John T.

What are the dimensions of the table? It looks very large.

John Tyson13 Jun 2015 4:12 p.m. PST

Reggie, the table is 8 foot by 6 foot (8'x6').
