"Starring Chris Pine, gorgeous Margot Robbie and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
In the wake of a nuclear war, a young woman survives on her own, fearing she may actually be the proverbial last woman on earth, until she discovers the most astonishing sight of her life: another human being. A distraught scientist, he's nearly been driven mad by radiation exposure and his desperate search for others. A fragile, imperative strand of trust connects them. But when a stranger enters the valley, their precarious bond begins to unravel"

One of my favorite books growing up.

How does radiation exposure drive you mad. If it is that sever the results are always fatal. Plus the other effects will kill you even quicker without medical care.

I don't think the rads are literally driving him mad.

As I recall he's carrying some baggage when he arrives.

Lots of angst and a pretty face,"But when a stranger enters the valley, their precarious bond begins to unravel" sorta sounds like Horrorywood drivel.

I remember reading this back in grade school, and I graduated from high school 31 years ago.

Unfortunately my memory banks are not dredging up anything else.

Yeah, read this in primary over thirty years ago.
Don't recall much about it, bar it was one of the only SF novels we were ever assigned to read for English class.

Margot Robbie IS cute, though.
Not sure if cute enough to sit through this movie.
