During my ongoing refight of the Peninsular War, I had to have a go at a battle which was very likely to be a pretty one-sided French victory over the Spanish. I decided to make it a little more interesting and useful by playing it out using the Polemos army-level Marechal d'Empire rules rather than the General de Division rules designed for such actions, to try out how MdE would work as a Napoleonic DBA-type game using a small number of bases on a small board: it worked very well! link
