I just moved to Austin and was wondering if there are any stores that carry ACW, Medieval, and or WW2 minis? Oh, and Napoleonic naval as well.

Miniature gaming on Sundays, boardgames on Friday night and Saturday afternoon with Fantasy Saturday nights. A great group of gamers hang there.

Nice! I'm going to be visiting family for about a month in the San Antonio area but Austin isn't too far.

Great Hall Games is my FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store). Very nice collection, great staff, friendly gamers playing there all the time. As mentioned, Sundays is the day to go for mini's but there's always a game of something going on just about every other day.

Thanks, everyone. I see they carry 15mm Essex Medieval. Anyone carry ACW or Napoleonic Naval?

Their stock is greater than what you see online… I think they still have some ACW stock left. Sails, they have some sails of glory, they might also have a couple of 1:1200s left. I think we bought all the 1:2400 but the can get more…
Plus they restock often, you just ask for what you want.

Thanks Francisco and all, I'll be checking them out. Just got here from El Paso (where we pretty much have nothing) and was hoping to buy local instead of mail order. I know that my Modelling stuff is set through Kings Hobbies so I'm good to go there.

Wow, I'm glad to see King's Hobby is still in business. I lived in the DPS barracks for six months in 1990 and made frequent trips there. Very cool.

Yes, I went to King's Hobby in the 70's as a kid for railroad stuff and models. Then it was D&D, board games, MiniFigs, in the 80's/90's. Just bought some Valleo paint from them last month.

@jowady
There is also great gaming in San Antonio. Check out Dragon's Lair. (yes they have historicals too)

Well, next time I'm in Austin I will definitely stop in. I spent many relaxing hours there.
