Something that got even less publicity – the British 'Sleeping Beauty' one man sub. It could be set to submerge and surface up to a week or so later. One was recovered a year or so ago off Western Australia where it had been lost during WW2 training exercises for attacks in the Pacific.

Close cousin of the USN's SEAL Delivery Vehicle, though this one seems to have a much larger range.

Armand, the difference is that it's designed to take the swimmers back after their mission.
