Hmmmm…

Chamberlin and Jentz list it as a 'rocket mount'. Given its built on an Ausf C and the test ATGW rocket wasn't around till 1945 in a purely test prototype, im inclined to think there may be a bit of twiddling reality here…

Another book I have one prototypes lists it as having four 38cm rockets in the mounting.

Id be very skeptical about just accepting this is a mount for the X7 just as im sceptical of 'unconfirmed reports' of the X7 blowing up JS2s…

PiersBrand nobody likes a spoil sport mate, especially when they are right. ;-)

Of course even if it is an X-7 carrier it is more likely to just sit there and fizzle than take out enemy tanks. The actual missile was no were near deployment and was over complex and unwieldy even if it could have been. That doesnt stop a little bit of me wanting to build one.

Oh and I put those stories of X-7 v JS 2 up there with the Fifth Reich at the center of the earth and SS zombies, if slightly less believable.

Those would be scary for the ones at the receiving end. And maybe also for those inside the tank when the launch takes place.

That said, with only four rockets the launcher would be running out of rockets pretty soon, and there might not be much space for extra rockets inside.
