Sometime ago there was talk these, I was hoping there would be news after the plastic continentals were finished. Unfortunately( for us AWI types) they seem to be moving into other areas on the plastic front, HYW, Naps and now colonials, anyone have any info? |

They must be in the same pile as the plastic ACW Union figures! |

I've been lobbying the Perrys for three years to release some Western Theater Federals. They are convinced they wouldn't sell. It appears that if you are a Brit, if it isn't wearing a forage cap, a four button blouse, and a knapsack, it ain't a Yank. I suppose they feel AWI militia won't sell, either. |

Actually, Alan has said he will do plastic militia at some point, and probably a firing line pose. However, he has his hands full at the moment with the Agincourt and Waterloo anniversaries; once those are over (end of 2015) he'll no doubt get back to AWI when he can. He definitely wants to finish off the Saratoga range and maybe do some more civilian figures. |

I'd like to see the French range rounded off with some colonial troops. |

Also on Alan's "to do" list, I understand. He also hinted that a plastic "Hessian" set might appear after the Militia, but probably a way off time-wise. For obvious – and understandable – reasons, I don't think 2015 is going to be an "AWI year". |

Yes the Brits know nothing about best business practises. Extrabio1947, how many Western Theatre Federals boxes would sell when the mix and match of the availability of the Confederate and Union boxes will do the same thing. do you think they'd produce a whole set of plastics just for 'your' non 4 button hat wearing Western Theatre Federals? I think not and I don't think 'non Brits' would do the same either. The Perrys (yes true Brits) most likely knew more about ACW uniforms and theatre wear while in the womb than the rest of us put together. Just saying as they have dom as much if not more than most to 'help' the ACW period. |
