I was looking through some old army lists the other day and came across some from a refight of the Battle of Flodden I did at my club on the 500th Anniversary.
The Battle has always been a firm favourite with me:-
Big Artillery Duel.
Renaissance Swiss Pike Tactics v Medieval English Bill & Bow.
Column v Line.
Highlanders & Border Horse.
The refight went really well and I'm tempted to replay it. However, the guy who supplied the English is no longer on the scene so it would mean quite an investment in time and money.
To see if I have sufficient enthusiasm and to see if there any new ideas on the Battle, I'm keen to know what new material has come out recently. Anyone got any recommendations?
I obviously have the Nial Barr and the Osprey Campaign books.
Thanks.

Have you considered either of these two:

Fatal Rivalry: Flodden, 1513: Henry VIII and James IV and the Decisive Battle for Renaissance Britain
by George Goodwin

Flodden: A Scottish Tragedy by Peter Reese

They are both recent, probably published around the anniversary. I have them both but haven't read either yet. They both get 4.5 stars on Amazon.co.uk

George Nafzinger Collection has an 82 page booklet about Flodden that I just picked up a couple of weeks ago. Its only a $20 USD investment, so you might add that to your collection. It was written by Lieut.-Col. Fitzwilliam Elliot and is titled "The Battle of Flodden and the Raids of 1513".

Thanks for the suggestions. Just ordered 'Fatal Rivalry' from Amazon for starters.
