Hello all,

I add some photos about my last work Swiftsure and HMS Surprise.
The client wanted Swiftsure in 1801 (captured by the French).

Nice, I like the HMS Surprise leaning with the wind. A nice effect that isn't shown very often at all.

Gorgeous work Julian, as always!

Beautiful work on both!

Sorry, but why would it lean into the wind?

And why is all the running rigging so slack?

Beautiful work, but there are a few details yet to be done correctly for perfection.

Sometimes people who have no sailing experience get details incorrect. When we go to various National Galleries, I always like to point out to my wife those paintings of ships under sail with the flags streaming _behind_ them. I pay close attention to those with the flags streaming the correct way!

Also, I'd warn your client that Swiftsure is cursed. I have her and she always strikes, sinks, or in one case blew up spectacularly!

Hello Outlaw Tor,
I differentiate two types of ropes on a boat, structural and auxiliary.
Structural ropes are tense but auxiliary ropes are used to maneuver sails and they are not always tense.
It is true that I intensified the flabbiness effect of the strings, but often to achieve a desired effect must be intensified.

Oh come on John, I'm sure we must have had at least one game where the Swiftsure survived… maybe not :-)
