Heya Folks! I'm getting ready to release my summer batch of Forge of Ice pulp Lost World stuff, and Patrick Keith has done up a set of Pithoi storage jars to use as terrain elements. I thought they'd be good for adding to ruins, or as non-traditional treasure markers or objective counters. Wine, oil, grain, etc, they're all valuable enough to be worth looting, I think. They're based on the Pithoi found in Crete (most of my human civilization is inspired somewhat by Minoan Crete), and I think they'd be perfectly usable in 28-30mm ancients games, too. I should have them cast in metal around the end of next month.
More pics and info on my Facebook page, as usual. Facebook.com/ForgeofIce -Alex |

I'll mention that the pic above shows the raw 3D prints – they are being cleaned up a bit before being cast. |

How about the "Sleepy Sentries"? |

They're still in the pipeline, Cyrus. The masters have been made, I'm just trying to make sure I have everything just right before I launch the Kickstarter. I'm probably overthinking it. |

It's nice having "non-traditional" pots and artifacts. In my fantasy gaming, I've always steered clear of Romans in Lorica Segmentata just because they are so 'typical' and distinctive looking (even if you change up the scutum for something else. I'll go for armies of lesser-known cultures, like the Etruscans or Hittites. So, Bravo, sir! |
