There is a marvellous article and diorama on the death of the Imperial Prince in a very old copy of Military Modelling magazine, along with a (slight) conversion of 54mm metal figures. I recall the landscape detail was hugely impressive and inspirational that it set me off on a moderately successful period of creating base boards for dioramas. Oh, if only that article could be reproduced here now.

The diorama above is from Joseph Quintini's The 1st Lt's Library. Reproduced here with all due respect to him.
