Every time I need to host a game, or even when I revisit a project I shelved earlier, it's like Tomb Raider / Raiders of the Lost Ark. I've got to search…. missing parts, rule books, update sheets – sometimes even entire armies. I've painted the armies, printed out a summary of the rules, but I can't find the original rule book…aaaagh! |

Step 1. Search all bags, I usually keep different rulesets in different bags…sounded logical at the time. |

Found my bocage in an unlabelled box. Found the camera and charger. Box labeled, battery on charger, no sign of rules, into the garage next. |

It's amazing what I find when I go on "a dig" in my basement. More than once I've been eyeing figures on ebay and then stumble across a box of them that I already bought years ago. Xin |

No luck in the garage, checked the boot of the car, real world calls, search must be abandoned for now. |

Alternate dimension. You'll need to order the converter to continue your search. Have you found any of the missing socks yet? My searches caused me to get a little more organized. I labeled each box with a number, then listed each item in the box under that number. Now, I only have to look at my list to go to the box with the corresponding number. When getting new shiney toys, I add them to the list, then place them in the numbered box. Some boxes also have a photo to make IDing contents easier – I list photo and date. Not perfect, but has cut down on "lost" time searching. |

Dear Silly point Yup, every time I go to a convention I make it a point to open up each box of unpainted lead to see what I have so that when I go to the convention I don't buy something twice. Can't tell you how many times I find out I already did- and sometimes I bought it three times! After 42 years in the hobby, I learned to mark the outside of the boxes with big 11 by 8 1/2 labels pasted on. COMPLETELY USELESS! The right stuff never winds up in the right boxes, but at least I know the box has wargame stuff in it. |

I once found a painted Dwarven army, and a massive ogre/giant support unit…in the bottom of the China cabinet. I have no idea when, or why, I would have put it there. |

Condotta – same numbered boxes for me. However, I list the contents on my projct list. Years ago I picked up 50 plastic boxes about 6X3x4 inches high. They all fit on shelves at my painting table. Vince |

I use the clear plastic boxes, bins to store stuff. I can see what I have that way. |
