I'm a fitful reader of after action reports, but good ones are a lot of fun and a great window into an unfamiliar ruleset.

What are your favourite AARs? Post us a link, tell us why you like it. Make sure it's not one of your own AARs: let someone else toot your trumpet!

My two favourites: Major Guiscard's spectacular finale to his sci fi Pulp Alley terrain. link

Why do I like this one? I'm a big fan of Pulp Alley, so it's nice to see what others are doing with the rules. The terrain is imaginative and spectacular, but not beyond the reach of mere mortals to replicate. And the AAR is a thrilling read.

Then there are the Back of Beyond games by the League of Extraordinary Kriegspielers. Here's one: link

What do I love? This is a fascinating historical period, with all sorts of exotic forces. I love multiplayer, multi objective backstabbing games, and this does that in spades. And of course it looks absolutely gorgeous!

So, over to you – what's your favourite?

I really like AAR with good pics and graphics. AAR's are a great way to see how a rule set works. White Dwarf used to have very good ones many years ago. I'm really enjoying the current Pulp ones on TMP.

Lots of pics with with brief descriptions. My current favorites are Pulp Girl's. Great terrain, minis and always a fun storyline. Here's one:

Always found the Pulp Alley comic strip ones very well done indeed, a lot of work must have been involved TMP link

Also because of gaming interests I am drawn to the excellent AAR's from Dentatus as the figures and terrain used are outstanding. TMP link

All the bat reps on the Major General's Colonial Wargames site. They played a huge roll in inspiring me as a youngster. link

Plenty of Pulp Alley love! And yes, of course, the Major General's site. I must have reread most of those reports many times over. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for the other links too: interesting things to explore.
