I need to put some paint on my Matilda's soon and am a bit torn about the paint scheme. In the Blitzkrieg book, Battlefront has the camouflage scheme using German Camo Dark Green & Brown Violet (now Sherman Drab for Colors of War). This scheme seems too dark to me (specifically the Brown Violet). A friend has some with a lighter color instead of the Brown Violet. It looks like Tan Yellow. Does anyone have any wisdom to share regarding the coloration of the early war Matilda's? If the Brown Violet is correct, has anyone else seen the dark green and yellow combination and where did it come from? |

No need for an apostrophe when referring to multiple Matildas. |

You realize that you are using a possessive apostrophe when referring to plurals? Don't you? |

You guys are over analyzing. Autocorrect on my phone keeps inserting that apostrophe. So, I'm blaming Siri for that one. I've gotten tired of correcting her. BTW, nice link! |

I am going to use Vallejo Field Drab with a dark green for my early war British tanks. I am using Stammer's great books (with paint chips) as my guide. Terry |

Correction. I just checked my copy to be sure, and first it's Starmer, not Stammer. If you are interested in British armor I think his books cannot be beat! A word of why I am using Vallejo Field Drab instead of a closer match which would be Vallejo British Uniform. I am painting small scale, 10 MM, and am trying to adjust the color shade, and I also want a true distinction between it and the dark green. Terry |
