Many actors and TV personalities had served in the army during WW2 or Vietnam and I was thinking of rating them in terms of Flames of War warrior teams. Of course, this being Utter Drivel, it would be their on-screen personas that would determine their abilities. MURRAY WALKER (British motor racing commentator and real life tank commander in WW2). Murray can be fielded as a Platoon Command Warrior team in a British Armoured Squadron for 25 points. He is rated as CONFIDENT TRAINED. "YES! YES! YES! NO!": Murray's enthusiasm allows him to re-roll any failed platoon motivation checks. "IF I'M VERY MUCH MISTAKEN YES I'M VERY MUCH MISTAKEN": Murray frequently misidentifies enemy targets. When any platoon he is commanding fires at an enemy tank platoon, roll a D6: on a 1 or a 2, downgrade one tank model to an inferior one (a Tiger becomes a Panzer MkIV for example). On a 3 or 4 the model remains the same and on a 5 or 6 upgrade the model (one Tiger becomes a King Tiger). ALAN WHICKER (Globe trotting British TV interviewer and real life army veteran). Whicker is a platoon command warrior team in any British reconnaissance troop and is rated as CONFIDENT VETERAN for 25 points. "HELLO WORLD": Whicker's curiosity grants any unit he commands the German Stormtrooper ability. "HERE AMONG THE COGNOSCENTE AND THE GLITTERATI": His determination to get the interview allows him to re-roll any failed Platoon motivation checks. |

Christopher Lee definitely. Should cost 1750 pts for one figure, with special rules that first turn both players turn their backs to the table, and when you turn back Lee's opponent has already lost and all the figures have been mysteriously packed back into their transport bag, with no explanation. |

Colonel Kilgore for Vietnam gaming, his C&C helo has psyops speakers in the doors and a couple surfboards underneath. RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES – on the first game turn, all opposing platoons must make a morale check or be pinned. KILL CARDS – score an additional Victory Point for each opposing platoon destroyed. |

Returning to this thread…the object wasn't to list celebrities who fought in WW2, but to use their public personas to create Warrior stats in FoW. |
