Ok I have a pretty large Warlord Games collection, from celts and Romans, ECW, Zulu wars, napoleonics and of course Bolt Action! My wife bought me the Dads Army box set for my birthday. Lovely figures bags of character and they faithfully bring them to the gaming table, now here's the thing private frazers bayonet is broke off completely, corporal Jones bayonet maybe saved but it could go either way, all the bayonets are woefully too thin! I have run a bead of superglue over both sides of the remaining bayonets hoping this will be enough to save them. I also bought myself the kriegsmarine box set and the last levy about a month ago, they also had damage making a couple of figures unusable! The officer from the kriegsmarine is missing the barrel off his mp40 despite the extra slim rod of lead securing the end of the barrel, the greatcoated kneeling guy firing the panzerfaust from the last levy set is missing the upper part of his rifle making him also unusable. I love warlord games plastic sets they just keep getting better and better but the problems seem to be with the metal figures. I'm worried that whenever I mention anything people just class me as a moaning old git! Truth is I don't complain everytime something is broken or wrong, if I can replace parts from the plastic kit spares I have done so but at times its past my capabilities. I really do love the BA stuff but I just seem very very unlucky when it comes to the metal minis.
left to right, kneeling missing top part of his rifle barrel (it wasn't in the blister so I'm guessing it was packed like that) kriegsmarine officer missing the barrel from his MP40 and finally private Fraser missing his bayonet! |

and finally private Fraser missing his bayonet! Fraser "sans bayonet" I can understand ("no point, sir, we doomed!"), but certainly not Corporal Jones!! Have you tried contacting them for replacements? |

That's disappointing; I was thinking about ordering three sets of sailors. I recently picked up a French support weapons pack at a show and it was missing its mortar. |

Among my other experiences with they're outrageously poor customer service, I have noticed their product quality amongst their metal figures leaves much to be desired. Just one more reason to play BA in 15mm… |

First up let me say I have always being impressed with warlords after sales service! So far they have alwasys come good, its just frustrating the amount of times it happens! I feel like I'm becoming a serial moaner and a nuisance. It hasn't stopped me buying more Warlord products simply because I don't think they can't be beat! MajorB sorry I should of said I have already E-mailed them, its just wait and see time which just adds to the frustration element. 79thPa all I will say is the kriegsmarine set is full of character and are cracking little figures! My main concern was I was just unlucky repeatedly! Some of the issue is quality control, packing damaged figures is not a good impression and could easily put off customers. OK it may be cheaper just to send out replacements especially at busy times rather than check every single figure! My wife got a bit upset because of the Dads army set being a birthday present! Bless her! |

Robby no not 15mm! My eyes just can't cope! LoL I struggle sometimes with 28mm, you've seen my primitive attempts at painting first hand! |

I made my first order with Warlord Games two weeks ago. They made a mistake. When I contacted them they corrected it straight away. Well done Warlord Games. Michael Terrett. |

Bracken, I feel your pain. I have read many of these threads and see others who have my same experience, both in errors, omissions and miscast figures. As Knight of St John points out, they make it right…after I bring it to their attention. I like their product, so keep ordering. I had a string of seven orders in a row that had errors, some major, until finally I received an order all correct. So, I will keep ordering, but if the past predicts the future, will not order anything from them that I must have quickly, since the delays have frustrated projects that I had hoped to complete. The extra expense Warlord incurs also makes me wonder how much more I'm paying for the lack of quality and order control. The customer should not be their quality control. |

Just got 3 vehicles from them, some decals and extra stowage kits. All the stuff arrived in great shape. I've had other orders that have had problems, contacted them and the issues were corrected very quickly. |

I would rather read about their great quality control than how great they are at fixing all of their mistakes. |

Hey braken, I tell you what. You come on out to my place and I'll provide troops for both sides. But it'll be a long walk. And part of it will be a swim… |

Bracken, I am sorry for the issues with the models, please check your inbox for my reply to your ticket. For all having issues with our models and kits, please get in touch with us and we will make sure the issues are resolved… we believe that resolving such issues punctually, fully and as soon as possible is the minimum standard and we are thankful, greatly thankful, for the continuous support and trust of all our customers, despite the mistakes that sometimes happen. But this is not enough of course, as MP Condotta and 79thPA rightly point out, it is nice and fair to sort out mistakes, but something needs to be done to correct and make sure they would not happen again. We are of course reviewing the specific models with recurring issues and improving our moulds to make the weapons more robust: this is greatly reducing the number of instances where models arrive with broken barrels. At design level, we are considering the historical accuracy of the thickness of an SMG barrel against its effective resilience once employed on a wargaming battle table, sometimes we have to take a decision and the consequent risk of either people unhappy with the design or people unhappy due to the easily breaking weapons. The more we are growing and the more we are able to invest in our range and release more plastic kits, which in some cases would resolve the issues of the breaking weapons. On the packaging side, we have increased the number of foam used and we are considering how to improve the blister packs to open less frequently while in travel. Some of the actions above to improve the quality of our kits come directly from feedback received, we have no shame to recognize where the help comes from! I am sorry for the many words… we understand how these issues are frustrating for our customers but we believe that an open dialogue and honest feedback will bring all the best outcomes. Please feel free to contact us anytime, we are happy to write back :) : info@warlordgames.com or to me lorenzo.pala@warlordgames.com |

Thanks for all the responses guys its helped, I was starting to believe I was just very very unlucky! and Robby you had me right up to swimming part! Lorenzo thank you for both the personal E-mail and also your response here, your after sales has always being exceptional which is one of the reasons why I will continue to buy Warlords products. Its nice to know that companies give a damn and not just up to the point of getting their mitts on your hard earnt cash! So thanks again Cheers Russ |

I had a parcel arrive today, both dads army models and an extra Jones in civilian dress. Two kriegsmarines armed with MP40s and a kneeling great coated volkssturm firing a panzerfaust, and two sprues of heads! So as always the after sales service was spot on. The packaging was spot on also two pieces of foam per blister! The figures were certainly not going to move after being sandwiched between the two pieces of foam. So thank you Warlord and thank you Lorenzo everything arrived in perfect condition. |

Shadowcat20, the Dads army figures are undergoing a little bit of prep work. I have started on the first few, but time is at a premium at the moment so things are plodding along slowly but I have made a start so hopefully it wont be to much longer before my first four make an appearance! well that's the plan I will add that Lorenzo was spot on, I did mention it on the feedback that he was a credit to the company, I do hope they passed it on, He deserves the recognition. |
