Curious after a series of health concerns and injuries I find I dwell here on a regular basis. I come on just after I drop the kids off to school and pop in again after they are asleep. I may not spend hours on here a day, but I check my areas of interest and look at some miniature porn a name coined by my wife.

So how does TMP fit into your life?

Personal logo ochoin Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 3:04 a.m. PST

Wargaming is my main hobby & TMP is the premiere wargaming internet site so "the fit" is pretty obvious.

If I'm busy at work, I don't come here at all but otherwise I can infect the place like a plague of fleas.

alien BLOODY HELL surfer01 Jun 2015 3:06 a.m. PST

drop in now and then (try to avoid certain topics now), check the genres I am interested in. normally about ten mins a day. I tend to look briefly on my lunchbreak when at work. then if I want my miniature porn fix of gorgeous paintjobs etc I go browse a few more sites.

Zardoz01 Jun 2015 3:12 a.m. PST

Drop in occasionally. But my main wargaming sites for inspiration / ideas are the TWW or LAF.

Hunlion01 Jun 2015 3:15 a.m. PST

Almost visit every day :-)

parrskool01 Jun 2015 3:19 a.m. PST

visit every day

Texas Jack01 Jun 2015 3:21 a.m. PST

I am here daily as well. TMP is one of three tabs in my browser that are always open (much to the detriment of my painting!).

Patrick R01 Jun 2015 3:57 a.m. PST

My visit frequency is down from several times a day to maybe once or twice a day.

skippy000101 Jun 2015 4:00 a.m. PST

Retired/disabled-everyday I find something that is new to me, enhancing the hobby, golden nuggets of history, inspiring artwork, enlightened individuals.

And the occasional person that makes me feel like a genius.

Tuudawgs01 Jun 2015 4:11 a.m. PST

Part of my morning routine. It's the second thing I do after checking my e-mail.

David Manley01 Jun 2015 4:11 a.m. PST

Drop in occasionally (usually daily) to read the sensible posts, pop over to Frothers to get a heads up on the latest lunacy and then pop back here to read the Frothers-indicated weirdness and have a good laugh.

Shedman01 Jun 2015 4:33 a.m. PST

I used to come here for the news but there is barely any these days that interests me

Nowadays what Dave said

Abwehrschlacht01 Jun 2015 4:33 a.m. PST

Ditto David Manley.

FusilierDan Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 4:40 a.m. PST

I visit twice a day for as long as it takes to read what interests me. TMP and a few blogs are my sources of information for the hobby. I've unchecked a fair number of the boards to keep the distraction and clutter down.

GatorDave Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 5:06 a.m. PST

Having recently relocated and not doing any gaming TMP keeps me motivated to continue working on projects!

Martin Rapier01 Jun 2015 5:07 a.m. PST

Visit every day, while circulating between LAF, TWW, Frothers and blogger.

Usually visit TMP after checking my email at 7am as it shuts down for maintenance shortly thereafter, then drop in periodically when I have a break.

KSmyth01 Jun 2015 5:14 a.m. PST

Used to come more frequently and stay longer. Still come daily to check on the news and the topics that interest me. I find the neighborhood has changed.

Personal logo 20thmaine Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 5:26 a.m. PST

I keep trying to reduce visits (sorry Bill!) as I'd really like to get some painting done…..

…it's all sitting there….

….just waiting for my enthusiasm to strike!

Personal logo Saber6 Supporting Member of TMP Fezian01 Jun 2015 5:37 a.m. PST

TMP and a couple other lists are my "Club" (mostly due to geography). I visit many times a day, as work allows.

Rrobbyrobot01 Jun 2015 5:47 a.m. PST

I visit this site at least once a day.

whitphoto01 Jun 2015 5:51 a.m. PST

When I'm working: I'll drop in a couple times a day. When I'm not working (a lot since I'm going back to school right now) I'll stop in here and multiple other sites dozens of times a day, way more than is healthy probably.

Personal logo Endless Grubs Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 6:47 a.m. PST

Not as often as I used to--for obvious reasons.

Old Slow Trot01 Jun 2015 6:51 a.m. PST

Usually on weekday mornings.

deephorse01 Jun 2015 7:13 a.m. PST

Pretty much what David Manley said.

Bismarck01 Jun 2015 7:38 a.m. PST

prior to retiring, 4-5 quick peeks at work during down times. now retired….twice a day but for longer time periods and reading more posts.

53Punisher01 Jun 2015 7:49 a.m. PST

Several times a day AM & PM.

Khusrau01 Jun 2015 7:57 a.m. PST

Ditto David Manley.

GarrisonMiniatures01 Jun 2015 8:10 a.m. PST

Once or twice a day, but decreasing importance as time goes on.

Cyrus the Great01 Jun 2015 9:04 a.m. PST

I spend a lot of time here, the never ending thread on Frothers for hilarity, as well as Colonel Marbles', LAF and GWP3.

Gone Fishing01 Jun 2015 9:10 a.m. PST

The quality and atmosphere on TMP have plummeted over the past few years. I'm about where David Manley is now. Thank God for LAF.

Bashytubits01 Jun 2015 10:19 a.m. PST

I appreciate the wealth of knowledge that the members bring to this site. Plus it's a good place to lighten my leadpile.

NWMike01 Jun 2015 10:35 a.m. PST

Life?

Had one – wasn't that impressed. ;}

wrgmr101 Jun 2015 10:57 a.m. PST

Visit daily, looking at nicely painted figures. Regularly ask about painting or search for answers regarding uniform details.
Check the Marketplace for good deals.
Wargaming is my main hobby so this is essential to me.

I check a couple of times a day to bask in the wealth of different points of view and knowledge presented by the other posters. Many of the things said here lead to research excursions and book purchases (and many too late nights with my nose in said books).

Fairly routinely (but not so much of late), I like to barf out my ideas for minis and terrain in the hopes that they inspire someone to do something really nice in a way they might not have otherwise.

The non-wargame related content, which is biased from the general public by our common interest, is sometimes thought provoking, sometimes interesting, sometimes infuriating, and pretty much always entertaining in some way or another.

Personal logo Flashman14 Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 11:33 a.m. PST

Few times a day. Hardly ever at night.

Leadpusher Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 11:51 a.m. PST

A stupid question from a relative novice: What is LAF?

Gone Fishing01 Jun 2015 12:07 p.m. PST

The Lead Adventure Forum. Well worth checking out if you haven't seen it!

Ed Mohrmann Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 12:54 p.m. PST

Stop in every day, most of the times once/day, sometimes
multiples/day

B6GOBOS01 Jun 2015 1:08 p.m. PST

Ditto David Manley.

Personal logo Herkybird Supporting Member of TMP01 Jun 2015 1:25 p.m. PST

Every day, look for what I like, work, paint figures/eat and sleep.

Wulfgar01 Jun 2015 3:11 p.m. PST

As I've stated on another thread, TMP is a very excellent resource for news of the hobby. I might check it early in the morning, or after work, generally. Today, I'm sick in bed, so its fun to take more time to explore the site.

I can see how it does take the place of a social network for gamers.

galvinm01 Jun 2015 4:02 p.m. PST

In the morning and before bed if the site is still up.

Used to check it multiple times a day. Not so much anymore. And I am retired.

Maximum Bob01 Jun 2015 4:09 p.m. PST

Ditto David Manley

There are about five or six boards I read on a daily basis. I will check out others from time to time and often read the "TMP Talk" board in kind of "can't look away from the train wreck" fascination.

I tend to read only at work. This is usually on my breaks or at lunch when I take my lunch at my desk. Today is an exception in that I'm visiting from home after work hours.

14Bore01 Jun 2015 5:19 p.m. PST

In Winter I paint on the computer desk so can virtually hang out here all evening. The rest of the year every day, mostly twice when I get home and before I call it a day. My PC is the only outlet so being away or hectic days can curtail stopping by.

D A THB01 Jun 2015 5:32 p.m. PST

Lunchtime and then afterwork when I'm having a coffee, usually.

The Angry Piper02 Jun 2015 7:09 a.m. PST

It's my home page. I visit everyday. On slow days at work I'm on all day.

I stay out of the nonsense and look at miniatures. Turns out it's actually a great site for that.

freewargamesrules02 Jun 2015 9:47 a.m. PST

Not so frequently now as other forums have more wargamimg contennt and less bickering

warhawkwind03 Jun 2015 9:59 a.m. PST

TWW is not in the Glossary. A little help over here?

Abwehrschlacht03 Jun 2015 10:33 a.m. PST

The Wargames Website.
