Hi all Last months update TMP link Well another month in the book and again the lead mountain grows and grows Bought 6mm – 544 (Mahdist Army off Evil Bay that was a bargain) 28mm – 39 (more Early WWII stuff) Painted 0 I did manage to tidy up some boxes of figs and gave away 13 to a friend for a project of his. Monthly progress = -583 Ready locker = 2587 (started at 1917) I have managed to paint 90% of my WWII tanks so will try and at least finish them and must do some of the mahdists to get the total down. Another embarrassing month for me Finished: 16 15mm French Napoleonic. These are samples that I am using to try out different basing schemes so technically they aren't really finished yet :) Bought: Nothing, Zip, Nada. It was tough but I was strong. But, a friend gave me about 60 15mm Napoleonics, so the lead mountain grows. Lots of stuff is more complete than it was this time last month so maybe next month will look better ? It is encouraging to see how everybody else is doing and posting here has to be cheaper than therapy, right ? John |

Finished off the partial units and basing for my last Few Zulu British units to essentially finish that project. I too sent out a few units for painting to jump start my ancients army in time for a summer campaign at our gaming group. Bought YTD: 455 Painted YTD: 49 I did manage to build and paint 5 40K buildings for a big battle we did with our gaming group and our kids so it wasn't too bad of a month all things considered. |

The sell-off of February was countered by the KublaCon flea market in May. May 2015 total: Bought 116 (15mm, things that could be 15mm, and more of other scales than I've bought in quite a while) SOLD 0 Painted 0 Year-to-date totals: Growth +180 Painted 0 A friend is threatening to play again, so painting will soon be called for regardless. |

After a four year hiatus, I've started repainting seriously the past couple of months. May I join in for future pledges? How does this work? For my April/May: - To be painted: 404 - Purchased/added: 17 - Finished: 55 - End the month to be painted: 366 Difference: +38 Completed: 3 – Two handed spearmen, militia, soldiers (Essex Medievals 25mm) 2- Two handed spearmen, militia, soldiers (x2 Essex Medievals 25mm)
38 – DBA Sumerian Infantry – I/1b (x38 HäT #8132) 1 – DBA Sumerian Chariots I/1b – (x1 HäT #8130) 3 – Battletech 25th Anniversary Introductor Box set 'Mechs --- COM-2D Commando 1, AWS-8Q Awesome, QKD-4G Quickdraw 5 – Battletech 3rd Edition Box set 'Mechs (aka. Those damn cheap crummy plastic 'Mechs) --- Warhammer WHM-6R, Thunderbolt TDR-5S, Phoenix Hawk PXH-1, Locust LCT-1V 1, Archer ARC-2R 1 – Thief w/sack and dagger (Grenadier #2008 Thieves set), 1- Cleric communing (Grenadier Specialists AD&D Small Figure set #2006) Purchased/Added: 17 2 – Norman Archer Advancing (NK8 – Essex Medievals 25mm) 15 – Recount of inventory – found 15mms not accounted for originally
I have a few minis coming to my mail box in June, but I'm also working my way through a 15mm army for HOTT that should counterbalance that. I've got 'Mechs on deck being painted and I'm finishing up two PC mini's for my ongoing D&D 1:1 campaign with my wife. PS. Am I the only one who keeps their inventory up to date? |

"How does this work?" First off, welcome to the Pledge! It works however you want and/or need it to. The Pledge was born of the perceived need to reduce unpainted miniatures and unfinished projects piling up. Some of us set a goal of one painted to one bought, while others have different ratios depending on their needs. If you look back to around the beginning of the year (late December or early January) you should find Pledge posts that explain what each of us is doing, or trying to do. A precise inventory would, for some of us, constitute an impossible task all by itself. I do record what I have bought and sold while on the Pledge, but the baseline prior to that was already huge. |

A precise inventory would, for some of us, constitute an impossible task all by itself I asked people locally about how many Napoleonics they had. The ones with serious collections went quiet for a bit, came up with a rough number (such as enough to do Waterloo and the Peninsular wars), said that they would take a closer look at what they actually had and then went quiet These were the people with the painted figures – for the rest of us …… It does help me to see how other people are doing on their pledges, and that I am not the only one with a "variety" of interests and scales John |
