It has been nearly a month since my last posting here, but I have been very busy with the DBA 3.0 Horse and Musket activity. Horse archers in Sassanid service came from a variety of provinces, so here is my take on them. link Cheers, Robert |

Your figures are great !!! Still disappointed that DBA 3 does not allow missile fire to horse archers I know that it could make them too powerful for gaming but it takes away a lot of historical options |

Really nice figures. Missile shooting by horse archers is included in the Close Combat factor as the Horse Archers did not stand off and shoot mass volleys in ranks as what bow shooting in DBA represents. Now Horse Archers get a +1 for second rank to make massed such troops more powerful. |

Toronto48, Believe me that the changes in DBA 3.0 regarding the LH makes them very effective troop types. As a group or an individual element, their command radius from the general allows them to fly across the board. Second rank support puts them on an equal footing in combat against blade and they can, if done right, frustrate Warband. Lots of good stuff. cheers, Robert |
