I think so. I might go and post some pictures in the Dark Ages forum. |

Cailleach: Hi! Aside from Dark Ages what are your favorite periods and genres to game? I noticed Ancients on your list of preferred periods. What ancient armies do you have and what rules do you prefer to use? I also note nothing listed as a preference for the last two-hundred years. No love for mechanization? Well cheers and good gaming. Rod Robertson. |

Hi Cailleach I spotted your Viking minis on another thread; very nice. I game mainly WW2 but I bought some Vikings and Irish recently to play some SAGA; it sounds fun…some good tutorials on how to play on youtube if I remember. How did you get involved in the gaming side of that dark period of history :) You're not Irish by any chance?
Good to see you posting and being a part of the gaming community here |

I thought that was just referring to the post he made in that thread 15 minutes earlier. |

Its so difficult to interpret someone on the internet. I like to give the individual the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes English may not be the first language. I was interested in his choice of callsign. I've encountered some interesting characters in the past with connections to the esoteric meaning of the name. |

This thread needs explanatory footnotes! I am so confused?!? He seemed like a nice guy for the nano-second I knew him. Fare well good Cailleach. You expired too young. |

Lol this has turned out to be one of the most mysterious and fascinating threads I've read in a long time 🐼 |

Well Ochoin you have my meaning exactly apparently it wasn't so clear to others, I was referring to getting out of that other converstion. I was warned about the things that happen here I didn't know they happen so quickly and with out warning. so to answer all your questions as quickly as I can. I'm a war gamers wife, the dark ages is all the rage in popular culture and I'm no exception and the my partner is quite interested in it too. No I dont like more modern things I prefer a greater distance between myself and what I read and what we are going to play. I do not paint because I just dont have the patience but Dave will paint my soldiers and I will make coffee and generally annoy him while he does. I'm looking forward to playing saga quick and violent and not so serious. God I have had to listen to some boring discussions over the years :-) Just as Viking are all the rage Celtic history has been through some phases of popularity and I was reading about the old gods in one Daves books and spotted a description of Morrigan, Cailleach and Morrigan share origins. We were originally following up Kelpie and new it was an old Celtic nymph. Our dog was a Kelpie breed. I like reading the history books lying about the house and like my romance novels in historical settings, girl porn as the husband calls it If i haved missed anyones questions I'm sorry, I will probably stick to the gaming channels from now on. It is nice to talk |

Irish? Scots. Clearly two of the best Peoples in the world. (as my dad used to say: There are only two types of folk in the World. Scots & those who wish they were). I "do" Saga as well but have Sassenach warbands (the Shame!). I try to keep away from the "Insane Boards" & the rest of TMP is nice. See you around. |

Cailleach: Welcome back! My apologies for assuming that you were male. A fan of the dark ages are you? Good stuff! I hope you enjoy the games and have a go at painting a figure or two. ochoin: Hear, hear! Scotland forever! Cheers and good gaming. Rod Robertson. |

Cailleach thanks for the explanation and I too apologize for presuming you were a male of the species; In all honesty you did give us a hint with your callsign. Rod: Go get those 28mm Scots and I assure you they will meet a grizzly end at the hands (or spears) of my Irish. My Irish won't even break sweat (well they are made of lead ;) |
