The Panzer IV/70 (A) has always been one of my all time favorite German vehicles – it's expedient "rushed to production" nature in many ways typifies the Wehrmacht as a whole in late 1944. I've always wanted to do an army with these beasts in it, but unfortunately the current Battlefront miniature has some issues.

The first article in a new series on the blog looks at the Panzer IV/70 (A) from when I first became aware of the vehicle in the mists of time that was undergraduate school, through the current Battlefront miniature, to my plans for making that miniature better to serve as the centerpiece of an upcoming 25. Panzer-Division panzergrenadier army.

Hope you enjoy it!
