3D Prototype of our M8 Greyhound and M20 Armoured Utility Car. Need some minor adjustments, but overall design is satisfactory. We have added an open driver hatch which is not shown in the prototype. Expected release date is Q3/15.

Objectives of this 1/56 M8/M20 plastic kit is as follow:
- a 2 sprue plastic kit to built either a M8 or M20 armoured car
- two MG arrangements for the M8 – rear mount or ring mount
- open front driver hatch
- external utility toolbox or land mine rack option
- simplified interior

Enjoy!

Wow! What figures would you use for crew?

The US Army used the M8 in Europe and in the Far East during WW2. In the latter theater, it was used mostly on Okinawa and the Philippines. The M8 was also supplied via lend-lease channels to US allies, including the United Kingdom, Free France and Brazil.

The French used them in Indochina too.

I am currently reading the Official US Army History of the Korean War volume "South to The Naktong, North To The Yalu" and both the M8 and M20 were in use in Korea.

You could also use the M20 to storm the Nakatomi Plaza ;)

For crew figures I'd go with Company B's various US crew for open-top TDs and half tracks. They've got stood .50 cal gunners in winter and summer dress. I was going to remark on the bazooka that came standard with thw M20, but I see from the photos Rubicon has this covered!

As Rhino Co said, they were in Indo-China with the French forces. That is where mine will go.

And mine, shame the armoured mudguards are not separate pieces, most of the film clips show French units in Indochina without them, may be possible to convert.

Still a great kit and looking forward to adding it to my French Reece unit alongside a couple of Bren carriers.

I asked a friend who has just built some other Rubicon stuff and he said that cutting mudguards would not be too difficult provided the plastic is not too thick. We shall see.
