I seem to recall a short story in the same vein. Possibly by Poul Anderson? It also has a Niven-esque quality to it.

Of course, there was the ST:TNG episode where the crew wakes up all suffering amnesia, with an added officer who appears to have always been there. Decent episode, but different from the premise for this film.

Not an exact fit but perhaps: Pandorum ?

Two crew members are stranded on a spacecraft and quickly – and horrifically – realize they are not alone. Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It's pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the ship. They can't remember anything: Who are they? What is their mission?

With Lt. Payton staying behind to guide him via radio transmitter, Cpl. Bower ventures deep into the ship and begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft's shocking, deadly secrets are revealed…and the astronauts find their own survival is more important than they could ever have imagined.

Thanks! I need to put this on DVR. Also Texas Rising (granted, not at all related but I need to tape both)

It was a 4 issue comic from Dark Horse comics a few years back, written by one or more Stargate SG1 alums if I remember right.
