Bonsoir Chaps, Greetings from the centre of France. Some chums joined me last weekend for a re-fight of this and I thought that it would be good to share some pictures. link I hope that the link works! I intend to improve the presentation in due course with captions etc but for the time being I hope you can enjoy just the pictures. The figures come from the usual people that you would expect, with the Calpe Prussians dominating but there are also Perry, Elite, Foundry and Foremost Prussians as well. The French are mainly Front Rank but some limbers were Hinchliffe or similar which does show one's age! A very exciting scenario but the Prussians are unstoppable. Cheers, Paul |

Hi Paul, Great looking game, superb painting as well. Have to love all that Landwehr. Are they all battalions or brigade level? Also where did you get some of the flags from, especially the red and white eagle ones? Cheers, Thomas |

Bonjour, All thanks for your comments. My chum Des took these excellent pictures and he and Martin commanded the Prussian onslaught. As an aside, in GDB rules rolling a double 6 triggers bonus results e.g. inflicting more casualties and undermining command and control. Martin rolled 3 double sixes in a row so I won't be gaming with him again! Thomas – the red eagle Landwehr colours come from Body's Banners which are sold by Redoubt. The Landwehr are in Brigades of between 3 and 6 battalions, usually supported by Jagers. Just love the Pommeranians who are in a 6 x 32 figure battalions. Dave- hopefully the link will work next time you try. Cheers, Paul |

Wow! A most impressive array of well painted and based figures coupled with a great set of rules. Well done. I am particularly impressed at how you have a gun team and limber for every gun on the table. I thought I was one the few who did that. It somewhat reflects the depth of a complete 1st to third line of artillery support and the space it takes up. |

Hi Ironduke, Thanks for your kind comments. Yep, you've got to have limbers! I've got 22 Prussian (20 Calpe and 2 Old Glory), 14 French and more French being done as we speak. I've also got 8 Austrian limbers which need adding to and currently working on Bavarian limbers from Perrys which are fantastic. Got 9 and 3 caissons. Only painted 3 and 1 so far but the rest are nearly top of the to do list. Sacrilege I know, but I intend to use my Prussian limbers for Russians as nearly all my Russian guns are Elite or Front Rank and so the wonderful Perrys limber teams don't work with them. Could change my mind though! Cheers, Paul |
